Skipping Monticello

On Sunday we drove from Appomattox to the Small Country Campground near Charlottesville. The plan was to visit Monticello, which is 30 miles away from the campgrounds. But Monday rained and rained and rained, and it just didn't feel like a good day to take a walking tour. So we decided to save Monticello for another, drier time. Today we drove on to Washington DC and pulled into the Cherry Hill Campground. We are about 1 mile from Ikea, and we like Ikea, so we wandered over there to look around. They have a lot of cool stuff but even Ikea furniture doesn't usually fit well into an RV. So we just had lunch, got a few kitchen supplies, and came back to the park to relax for the night.
