A long, hot day

We had breakfast at Aunt Jean's (biscuits and gravy, eggs, fruit and muffins - she really knows how to serve breakfast) with John and Johnny. Then we swapped out our rental car because although we reserved a standard sized car, they gave us a smaller one. We decided to make do with it but it handled so poorly that we couldn't take it anymore. For our trouble, they upgraded us to a much better car. Then we did a bit of shopping and came home. Don't feel much like doing anything in this heat. It's 97 degrees today and in a big metal box like an RV, that's hot! We are hooked into 30 amps, which means we can only run one air conditioner. If we keep the door shut between the living room and the rest of the RV, it's not too hot inside, but it's not really comfortable, either. We make the dog's outside potty breaks quick because it's too hot for them, too.

Mom and Ruth were scheduled to arrive at 8 pm. But there was a back-up of planes waiting to disembark at Fort Worth, and they missed their connecting flight. The next flight available brought them into the Ontario Airport at 11 pm. We picked them up, delivered them to Aunt Jean's house, and are ready to call it a day.
